"I believe that every person is unique -  as is the life they have and the issues that bring them to seek help through counselling. Because of this, the work we do together will be as unique as you are and ‘tailored’ to fit you. I can offer you a confidential, comfortable, safe and positive space to work through your issues".

Dip. Counselling - MBACP - MNCS (Accred)
Advanced Practitioner Working with Children and Young People. (NCS Quality Assured Training).

Hello, firstly I’d like to say that I understand that making the decision to undertake counselling can be a big step and that looking for a Counsellor can feel daunting – so well done for getting this far!!

Now, a bit about me; My name is Alison, I am a qualified counsellor (Level 4Dip) and a member of both the BACP and the NCS ethical counselling bodies. I am a Person Centred Counsellor with offices in Benfleet and Rochford, Essex. I also work via zoom and telephone whichever is best suited to the client.

I am currently working with a variety of client groups (all ages/sexes) with various presenting issues. I have recently qualified as an Advanced Practitioner  specialising in the field of Children and Young People.  I have also undertaken training to counsel couples.  Being a person centred counsellor means that I will work in a way that is comfortable for you and at a pace that you are happy with – I feel this is vital if you are to meet the goals that you want to achieve in your therapy.

I believe that every person is unique - as is the life they have and the issues that bring them to seek help through counselling. Because of this, the work we do together will also be as unique as each client, tailored to fit those specific needs. I can offer you a confidential, comfortable, safe and non-judgmental space for us to explore whatever has led you to consider counselling.

Well done once again for taking the first step, let’s take the next one together!
The introductory first session is free of charge, giving you the opportunity to meet me and decide if I’m the right counsellor to help you move forward.

NB: It is essential that the counsellor you choose is a member of a Registered Body because this means they are both qualified and regulated, and they are therefore required to abide by a code of ethics which ensures they work safely and in your best interests.
